OCRA President Marie Fresch started the seminar-portion of the event with a round table discussion geared toward OCRA's 2020 Vision.  OCRA is reenergized and refocused and asks for your help. As part of the five-year strategic planning process, the OCRA Board of Directors needs to hear from you. What are you looking for to help you advance in your professional careers? What tips or tricks do you have to offer your Ohio colleagues? A lot of great ideas and suggestions came from this hour-long session, and a recap and further discussion will take place at the 2016 Annual Conference Friday afternoon, April 22nd.

Following a short break, attendees were asked to Follow the Money with Bill Ditty, CPA/PFS, CVA, CFF, CFFA, CDFA, MSA, president and owner of Ditty Financial Forensics, LLC, and Ditty Financial Advisors, LLC. Bill has testified in court in the areas of divorce litigation, business valuations, separate property/hidden asset tracing and associated forensic accounting analysis. He has been qualified as an expert witness for cases in the Ohio counties of Franklin, Delaware, Knox and Allen. He is the President for the Southern Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). In his capacity as Chapter President, he conducts continuing education seminars for valuation analysts and forensic accountants. Bill kept all on the edge of their seats as they learned the ins and outs of forensic accounting.

Learning is always better with food and friends!  The District C CEU and Casino night wrapped up with an amazing prime rib buffet and the drawing for numerous prizes, including the jaw dropping $690 50-50 raffle!  Let's hope that the on-their-own casino time left all attendees with big smiles and fat pockets!  Thanks to all who attended and supported District C and OCRA on Saturday, January 30, 2016!  And a big thank you to District C Director Craig Ross for planning and hosting a fabulous event!
