Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) Computer-Aided Transcription Services Request for Proposal


Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) will need up to approximately 1,500 hours of Sign Language Interpreting Services covering the needs for affected employees and to provide interpreting services as a reasonable accommodation (auxiliary aid for communication access) for business related activities covering the 2017 and 2018 fiscal years. The counties of coverage will encompass the entire state. Applicants may bid on providing services in a minimum of one county and/or all of the counties in Ohio. Although not required, applicants can also include in their bid the provision of remote interpreting services. Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) will also need up to approximately 375 hours of onsite and remote computer-aided transcription services to be provided for the public and OOD staff that are hard of hearing or deaf for business related activities for the 2017 and 2018 fiscal years. The counties of coverage will encompass the entire state. Applicants may bid on providing services in a minimum of one county and/or all of the counties in Ohio.

Date Issued: March 9, 2017

Submission of the RFP response must be submitted electronically to ood.purchasing@ood.ohio.gov with the subject line of “RFP Number OOD HR-2018-01.”

All RFP responses must be received on or before the deadline date and time provided in Section II. “Timeline Requirements”. Failure to receive by the deadline date and time shall result in the response not being accepted.
